A New Partnership with WAI Wānaka

We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership with the wonderful team at WAI Wānaka, who share our commitment to protecting the health of Lake Wānaka and the precious ecosystems that depend on it.

For us, tourism and conservation go hand in hand. By working together, we can help visitors experience the incredible landscapes of the Wānaka region while also contributing to their long-term protection.

Monitoring the health of Lake Wānaka

As part of this new partnership, one Eco Adventures trip each week will help monitor the water quality of Lake Wānaka using WAI's Secchi disks.

These simple but effective scientific tools measure water clarity and help build valuable long-term data about the condition of the lake. Over time, this information can help us understand changes in Lake Wānaka and support efforts to protect its freshwater ecosystems.

It’s a great example of how visitors can become part of the story of conservation simply by getting out on the lake and exploring!

Every booking helps protect freshwater

We are also donating $1 from every guest booking to support WAI's work protecting local freshwater ecosystems.
